About Pune

Pune (in Marathi), formerly known as Punavadi and Poona (by British), is located in the western Indian state of Maharashtra. Called as the “Queen of the Deccan,” Pune is the cultural capital of Marathi people. Marathi is the language of the majority of people residing here.
